I’m onto tray number 2 this week…..one more to go!!
I started by giving the tray a rough coat of black acrylic paint and dry brushed antique gold over the top. A bit of light sanding and a touch more gold around the edges. I used papers from Graphic 45……Olde Curiosity Shoppe.
Very patiently…..i cut out the butterflies and glued them to acetate. If you heat them (very gently) you can bend them slightly so they look like they are popping off the tray. Mind your fingers!!
Using a driftwood stick, i gave it the same black and gold treatment as the tray. I then added the word flight. Two holes were drilled in the top of the tray and then brown wire was wrapped the stick.
I used these gorgeous metal filigree plaques as an adornment on the side. These have been discontinued in the shop…..so grab them whilst you can!
One more tray left…….what shall i do??
