My favourite colours at the moment are a mixture of turquoise and orange/brown and these Vintage tapestry and Vintage decor papers are ideal for covering my art journals. This picture shows the backs of the journals using Vintage Decor scrapbook paper S223 and Vintage Tapestry scrapbook paper S260.
I bought a watercolour pad from Aldi £2.49 and cut it in half to make the books – as it was spiral bound I was able to use the original wire binding for one and added one from my stash to put the second together. I covered some matboard with the paper and punched the holes with my Cinch.
For the front of the first journal I used Vintage Tapestry scrapbook paper S267.
I added a rusty heart to painted corrugated cardboard secured with string. This is mounted onto a piece of MME Ferris Wheel card from the Kraft Funday range.

The second journal is also covered in Vintage decor scrapbook paper. I’ve taken a bird from a piece of 7 Gypsies Birdsong collage tissue and sewn this to a square of hessian. This has been protected with Mod podge then mounted to a square piece of Kraft Core cardstock which I sanded around the edges.
I used more of the tissue and hessian for a coordinating tag and tied some coordinating ribbon to the binding.
